PDF to Excel

Turn the tables in your PDFs into spreadsheets — invoices, reports, price lists and more.

PDF to Excel finds the tables in a PDF and rebuilds them as spreadsheet rows and columns, with numbers stored as real numbers so you can sum, sort and chart them. Text that wraps inside a cell is joined back together. Choose one sheet per page or everything in one sheet, or download CSV. Scanned PDFs work after recognizing the text. For bank statements, use the Bank statement converter.

Questions and answers

Are numbers kept as numbers?

Yes. Amounts like 1,234.50 or 1.234,50 become real numbers in Excel, so you can add them up, sort and chart them. Codes with leading zeros, like 00123, stay as text.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

Yes. If a page is a scan, recognize its text first with the button that appears. Check the result, as scans are harder to read than digital PDFs.

Can I convert a bank statement?

Use the Bank statement converter instead. It turns statements into one clean row per transaction and checks every balance.

Is PDFfinch free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account, no email and no watermark added to your files.
