How to combine PDF files into one on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android

Combining PDFs is one of the most common document jobs: joining scanned pages, putting invoices together for your accountant, or turning separate chapters into one report. Here’s how to do it on every kind of device.
In any browser (Windows, Mac, Linux, phones)
- Open Merge PDF and select two or more PDFs, or drop them onto the page.
- Drag the files into the order you want.
- Click Merge PDF and download the combined file.
There’s nothing to install and no account to create. If you need to reorder individual pages rather than whole files, or pick only some pages from each document, use Organize PDF: add all the PDFs, then drag, rotate or delete single pages.
On a Mac with Preview
- Open the first PDF in Preview.
- Choose View › Thumbnails to show the page sidebar.
- Drag the other PDFs from Finder into the sidebar, where you want their pages to go.
- Choose File › Export as PDF to save the combined document.
On an iPhone or iPad
In the Files app, tap Select, pick the PDFs (and images, if you like), tap the ••• button and choose Create PDF. The new file appears in the same folder. To control the page order more precisely, use Merge PDF in Safari instead.
On Windows and Android
Neither has a built-in way to combine PDFs, so a browser tool is the simplest option. Merge PDF works the same way in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Samsung Internet.
Combined file too big to email? Run it through Compress PDF straight from the result screen — you don’t need to download and re-upload it.
